In 1982 I became the Chief Photographer at The Modesto Bee<\/a> and took on the extra job of covering the 49er games.\u00c2\u00a0 The sports department told me the Niners weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t very good but obliged me by helping me get credentials.\u00c2\u00a0 Who knew that Bill Walsh and Joe Montana would take the team to the Superbowl that very year. It was a heck of a ride and I am still photographing games.\u00c2\u00a0 Two years ago in late May I had both of my knees replaced.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t miss any games, but it wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t easy getting back to kneeling at Candlestick Park.\u00c2\u00a0 This past year, at 6-10 the 49ers were even shakier than my knees.\u00c2\u00a0 If you would like to see the rest of my 49er images click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
